Update

Well, my blog has gotten a little out of order and I haven't taken too much time to write a lot lately.

Jackson is doing really well. He will be 11 months old in a week. As you can see in the pics, he is growing fast. He has been standing on his own for a few weeks and actually started taking a few steps around May 15th. The funny thing is, I can't get him to do it at home so Billy can see him. The only way I have seen him is at daycare. One of his teachers was playing with him when I picked him up last Friday and I seen him take about 3 steps for the first time. And then this morning I put him down and he walks right over to his teacher like it was nothing to it. Maybe I can get him to do it this weekend at home. He has cut his first tooth earlier this month and the one beside of it is starting to come through now. The teething stage is not fun...just like everyone said! And it seems his may all come through close together since he is late cutting teeth. He is doing much better with table food and it is sometimes hard to keep him off your plate if he is too close! Cute though! He has gotten a lot more vocal and seems to think you should understand him. He has learned to point to what he wants which helps with the frustrations of communication. It won't be long and he will be having a his first birthday party! I can't believe it is so close!

I am feeling better the last 2 weeks and hopefully we are done with all the sickness. Billy is still doing good and trying to stay busy. No luck with a 9-5 yet but has heard of some openings that he is looking into.

Whose temper does he have????

The swing has been hung!

Well, Jackson has broke his swing in. He really enjoys being outside and looking around. I don't think he knew what to think the first time but it was time for a bottle so he kicked back and went with it!

Jackson's new toybox

We decided to get Jackson a toy box to keep all his stuff together and somewhere safe where he could play and not hurt himself. I think he really likes it. He can reach his books and everything. But he tends to go up to it and just pull everything out and then there is a big pile of toys all in the floor....however, that defeats the purpose doesn't it?? Oh, well...he loves it and it is real easy to scoop them all up and dump them back in!

Deer

Some pictures of deer in our neighbor's yard. I saw them one morning when I was headed out for work. Billy walked across the road and snapped a few pictures. Just thought it was interesting to see them so close!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful First Mother's Day. Jackson is just so precious and I thank God for him everyday. When I picked him up from Daycare on Friday I had a rose and this little poster for me....
(may be hard to see but the yellow are his hand prints!)

Also, we celebrated by going out to eat with my family. We stopped in and visited with Billy's mother as well. And, I received beautiful flowers, cards and Billy gave me a piece of Mother's Jewelry. It was a great weekend!

Thank God for our Mothers...

Mommy's Baby

My poor baby was sent home Monday with a fever. He was burning up and just not himself. I could not get him to take a nap but knew he needed his sleep. This was one of my attempts that actually worked as you can see in the last picture...how precious!!

Nature's Beauty

I am so excited that my flowers that we planted last summer have come back and are beginning to take off. Actually, we didn't anticipate them growing and spreading so much and should have left more room. It is early yet but they are starting to have lots of blooms. Of course we have just had a rain shower so maybe these aren't the best pictures. However, I love the rain drops on the Tiger Lilly.

So, whats new?

Well, it has been a while. My grandfather passed away and I got sick again. Jackson has had double ear infections and Billy has had a little cold here or there. I have been sick for over a month but seem to be getting better. Jackson actually was sent home again today for a high temp. I have finally just got him to take a nap and thought I would try to relax and write a minute. Although he is still resisting his nap!

Billy has been staying busy which is good. Between me, his dad, and some homeowners from his old job site, he stays on the go. Here is a little of what he has done here...

He killed off our front yard since it was just full of weeds.

He is so excited that it is coming in well and we have baby grass!!

Also, he cut down a small tree, and extended the wall to put in a new flower bed....

He also got Jackson's swing and will hang it.
