Our little cutie

Checking in....

Our internet has been down since we have been home so I have been unable to update. I am working on some pics and the big news. We are still adjusting to our little one and his schedule. I will try to have it up as soon as possible.

Baby Jackson is finally here!!!!!

Our bundle of joy was born Monday, June 30th at 1:41pm. He was taken by C-section and weighed 9 lbs 8.3 ozs. He is 21" long. The ultra sound tech was right...he has lots of dark hair. Everything went well and we came home Wednesday at lunch time. I am recovering well just really sore and sleep deprived already! Jackson still has his days and nights confused so the days are easy and nights are ROUGH! We went to bed last night at 4am!! Doctors orders are to rest and take it easy for 2 weeks..no housework either. Billy is doing really good helping me with that.

So now the blog will most likely get loaded down with baby pictures...constantly. We are so happy he is here and love him so much!

The latest

We got a lot done around the house this past weekend, although there is always more to do. Things are going well and we are waiting for our new baby's arrival. We went to the doctor today. Everything is good but not much progress. So we are left with the waiting game to see if he is going to come by his due date. If not, we have an appointment set up for some test and will meet with the doctor to discuss the options and go from there. The best news for me is I have been taken out of work! I am so tired and uncomfortable at this point and it really takes it out of me. So hopefully I will have some time to rest and take care of myself so when he does come I will not be so exhausted. However, I will go in for a few hours in the morning to clean off my desk and wrap up some things. Well, it won't be too much longer before we all meet Baby Jackson!!

Just because....

...I love this picture

Baby Update...two weeks and counting....

We are really excited and are ready to see our baby boy. I just can't wait to see what he looks like. We had a doctors appointment today and had another ultrasound and everything looked great. It still looks like he has a lot of hair. But the big news is they estimate him to be 8 lbs 8 ozs! This explains my miserable look. My next "big" appointment is next Tuesday (that is if he doesn't come tomorrow on the full moon). They will check me and we will discuss the "plan". According to the stats most first babies are born at 41 weeks. However, I don't think that I will go that long or if they will let me go that long considering the size and my BP. We did some shopping this past weekend to get some of the last needed things so we are now ready for his arrival. I am glad that we did this! The bag is packed but we still need to install the car seat. We are praying that he will be healthy and I will have a good delivery.

This is a profile shot of him with this arm across his mouth like it was last month

Basically the same as above

Here, he moved his arm down and you can see his mouth and chin and the cord in the background

I really need a break and am ready to go out of work. At least my manager is back and it is not quite as hard on me now. My planned last day of work is June 27th. I didn't know working to the end would be this "fun".

A sweet note

I have really enjoyed being pregnant...until the past few weeks. I am completely miserable lately (for several reasons) and apparently it is well seen on my face. Work is getting really tough lately. I had to run the office last week while my manager was on vacation, which wasn't easy when I am exhausted, swelling and going to the doctors twice a week; not to mention we have picked up and are busy for the summer. I know I should not complain because I realize it could be much worse and I am blessed. It's just really hard not to complain at this point....

But when I got home Friday from my long and tiring week, I found a card in the mail. It was from my brother's family and included something special...

It was good timing and the little note really made me smile! Thanks guys!

Not to brag, but...

I finally got my plaque for my CCUE designation (was going to post it but too much personal info). I have received many letters as well. One states I am among an elite group of 2,581 CCUE designees. I also received this book, ribbon and a pin. It was a lot of hard work and took a while but I am proud of myself and am glad it is done before the baby came.

A little visitor

I had never seen a white squirrel until I moved in this neighborhood. We were told that someone brought them down from up north and they have reproduced and stayed around. When I came home from work Wednesday, there was one playing in the front yard. They let you get pretty close to them but I had to go in to get my camera and by the time I came out he was heading over to the neighbors. Have you ever seen one before???

Memorial Day Weekend

We did some much needed yard work Memorial Day weekend. We went to the Farmers Market and bought some flowers and veggies. We added some color to our front flower bed and spruced it up a little. We planted the garden as well. Billy has 22 tomato plants, a good number of green pepper, squash, zucchini, cucumber, watermelon, and cantaloupe. I hope it does well this year although I don't know how much help I will be. We also cooked out Monday night. It was a lot of hard for for the long weekend but overall we had a good time and are happy with the outcome.
