We had our first snow day Tuesday. One thing about Billy not having a job right now is that he can help with Jackson. Daycare was closed so Billy had to keep Jackson. This works out well since I am running very low on time at work. Billy did very well by himself. He had to take Jackson to get his 6 month shots this morning. He said that he cried but did pretty good. I may have cried if I had been there!
Jackson sat up all by himself last week at daycare but we haven’t seen him do it yet. He scoots around and babbles all the time now. He came close to sitting up for me this weekend but didn't lift his hands and sit back. He is the first in his class to sit up, however, the others can do the military crawl and pull up. Jackson has learned how to get up on his hands and toes like in the picture. Daycare said that he has started doing that and then trying to lift one hand. She said he gets startled because he had figured out that he will fall. The floor is hard there so I hope he doesn’t do it too many times! He is getting close to "Da-Da". May not be what he is intending but it sounds like it. Or maybe so, he did it on the changing table the other night when Billy was getting him ready for bed.
Jackson had his 6 month pictures taken last weekend. It is getting more interesting the older he gets. He had just woken up and didn’t want to smile. And it is hard to pose him when he doesn’t want to stay put. We were acting all silly trying to get his attention and get him to smile. There is no telling what he thought of us!
After the pictures we went to visit with Billy’s parents. They took me out for my birthday to P.F. Chang’s in Greensboro. We had a great experience. The food and the service were really good. It was interesting, the waiter discusses all food allergies and dislikes with the table and then orders for the whole table. And if you don’t like it, he will take it back and get you whatever you want. It helps you to try things you might not otherwise ever try. And we liked everything that he picked out, especially the Chicken Lettuce Wraps! We had been once before but it did not even compare to this time. Then we went back to their house to visit some more and have dessert! We enjoyed it.
Otherwise, things are going ok. Still some health issues here and there but we are making it. Billy is continuing to look for work and get things straightened out. We are praying for good health and we have faith that God will carry us through this rough time. Please pray for us as well…
